$500 Original price was: $500.$250Current price is: $250.

This is a 1/4 bulk black Angus/Scottish Highland or pure Scottish Highland beef buy (a $500 deposit is non-refundable and charged immediately to hold your beef, it will be deducted from the total price). The bulk price is $7.09 a lb with $6.00/lb paid to the farmer (Norris Farmstead LLC) on the hanging weight*  on September 16th, 2026, and $1.09 a lb to the butcher at the time of pick up.

Our 1/4 beef average is 170 lbs (this is the estimated hanging weight, actual weight can vary by approximately 50 lbs +/-). Hanging weight 170 lbs x $6.00 lb= $1,020 to farmer plus (170 lbs x $1.09 lb cut and wrap plus 1/4 kill fee) $222.80 to butcher = $1,242.80 total

You will pick up your bulk beef from our partner Del Fox Meats (located in Stanwood, WA) and pay $1.09 a lb cut and wrap plus the quarter of the kill fee of $37.50 due to Del Fox Meats at pick up, approximately two weeks after the butcher date.

What Makes Our Beef Different

At Norris Farmstead, we raise both pure Scottish Highland cattle and Highland/Black Angus cross cattle.
Both produce exceptional, old-fashioned, grass-fed beef — with deep flavor, natural tenderness, and superior nutrition.

  • Pure Highland Beef is known for its rich, traditional flavor, natural leanness, and beautiful marbling that comes from slow growth and natural forage.

  • Highland/Angus Cross Beef combines Highland’s heritage flavor and nutrient density with Angus’s well-known tenderness and slightly higher yield.

No matter which animal your quarter comes from, you’re getting beef raised the same way:
✔ born, raised, and harvested on the farm
✔ grass-fed and pasture rotated
✔ no feedlots, no sprays, no vaccinations
✔ better-than-organic, regenerative practices

Our beef is raised on grass and fed grass hay throughout the winter months. The cattle are harvested onsite by a local mobile butcher, we do not believe in feedlot conditions. Our cattle are rotated to fresh pasture filled with grass and clover and plenty of fresh water straight from our well. We do not vaccinate and our cows are born, raised, and harvested here on the farm.

We use better than organic practices, meaning we never spray (not even with organic-approved sprays). We use regenerative agriculture practices of pasture rotation.

Notes:

*Hanging Weight is the official weight per carcass hanging in the cooler. This weight is prior to the butcher deboning, trimming, and cutting up your meat to your custom packing order. Your actual take-home weight will be less than the hanging weight.

** All orders will be picked up at Del Fox Meats in Stanwood, WA around the end of September (approximately two weeks after butcher date). The exact date will be given to you by the butcher in September. The meat will be fully frozen at pick-up, bring several large coolers to transport meat home. For a 1/4 beef, you’ll need approximately 4 to 5 cubic feet of freezer space.

*** Final payment to the farmer on hanging weight is due before pick-up at the butcher, we will contact you with the final hanging weight and balance after your $500 deposit is applied via email with an invoice on September 16th. The deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to your total and deducted from the final payment.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported a small family farm.

We purchased grass fed beef through another ranch, who’s now retired and Del’s does an excellent job cutting, wrapping and preparing out meat through the years. We highly recommend Del’s!

My experience with both Norris farmstead and Del’s meats had been excellent. Both have been professional, delivering a high quality product, cut and processed in a way that makes my life as a homecook easier. I highly recommend them both, especially Melissa, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of interacting multiple times.
